A 16-year-old Iuka juvenile girl was injured in a single vehicle crash on the Omega Road a half-mile north of U.S. 50 in rural Iuka Tuesday morning.
Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports indicate the juvenile was traveling northbound when she ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, came back onto the roadway, and then ran off the right side of the road a second time and struck a culvert.
The juvenile was out of the vehicle on her own when Iuka Fire and Rescue arrived. She was taken to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response for treatment of injuries.
The crash occurred at 7:38 Tuesday morning.
