A 22-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Marion County Court with failure to register as a sex offender.
Dawson Coughlin of North Hickory faces an extended term sentence if found guilty including a minimum seven days in the Marion County Jail and a fine of at least $500.
Bond was set at $10,000 and the public defender was appointed to represent him.
Coughlin was arrested by Centralia Police over the weekend.
