Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two men who were allegedly stopped in the process of burglarizing a home in the 2900 block of Green Street Road west of Lakeshore Drive in rural Salem.
21-year-old Alexander Brown and 24-year-old Timothy Sullens, both of Maplewood Drive in Salem, were reportedly outside the home next to their truck when deputies arrived.
Reports indicate the two had gained entry to the home by kicking in a door. They had allegedly removed tile flooring and other items. The home was reportedly in the process of being remodeled
The sheriff’s department responded when a relative of the owner called to report what was believed to be a burglary in progress.
The report came in at 5:26 Friday evening.
