The KC men and women cross country teams traveled to Angel Mounds Park south of Evansville, IN. The Stegemoller Classic is hosted by Southern Indiana University. The Blue Angels were led by Megan Cook over the 4k distance placing 5th overall. She was followed by Summer Chelf, The next finishers for the Angels were Cayla Krueger, Maggie Fitzgerald, and Macie Hargis. Mya Abers and Jamesyn Lyons were the next two Angels to cross the finish line.
The Blue Devils were led over the 6K distance by Alex Detmer, next for the Devils was Ty Reynolds, followed by Caleb Klein and Kolton Shoemaker. The number 5 counter was Andrew Stevenson. Ryan Gerdes and Alex Huegen were the next two across the finish line. The KC cross country teams will return to action on October 1st against Heartland Community College.
The first NJCAA D2 ranks were out this past week, the Blue Angels were ranked 11th in the Nation and the Blue Devils held down the 23rd spot nationally.
