The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating two stolen vehicles located near the end of Ruble Lane southwest of Salem. One of the vehicle owners made the discovery Sunday afternoon. Sheriff’s Deputies say a car stolen from Odin and a pickup truck from Mt. Vernon were found. Both had been taken recently. There was some damage to the car, which had its front bumper removed.
Earlier Sunday afternoon, the sheriff’s department received a report of tools and an air compressor lying alongside Ruble Lane closer to the Selmaville Road. The items are believed to have been stolen, but no further details are available.
The sheriff’s department also took a report Sunday of a golf cart being stolen from a home in the 2800 block of State Route 37. It was taken sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
