In a change from past years, Centralia’s trash collection company Republic has announced it will pick up trash on the regular schedule this week, including Monday pickup on Labor Day. However, the traditional schedule will be followed in Salem with no pickup on Monday and pick up running a day late the rest of next week. Landscape waste pickup in Salem will be on the regular Tuesday-Thursday schedule this week.
Both Salem and Centralia City Halls along with all area courthouses will be closed for the Labor Day Holiday on Monday. Most federal and state offices will also be closed. There will be no home mail delivery.
