Marion County Board to discuss County Administrator position and bids for restoration work

The Marion County Board will meet in special session Monday night to discuss a number of items. They include a bid opening for companies interested in working with Ameresco on county building renovations. Bids will also be discussed for removal of a tree on the courthouse lawn and on Ameresco handling the balance of work on the heating and air conditioning system at the courthouse with Rend Lake Heating and Air Conditioning. The board will also discuss installing a Digital Recording system in the county board room.

There will also be discussion of creating a County Coordinator or Administrators position. The agenda indicates no action will be taken with further discussion at the September 8lth Personnel Committee meeting.

The board will also discuss and possibly take action on a liquor license request from Brian West and Patrick Watwood who want to renovate and open a video gaming facility in the former Medlin Store building at the Medlin Road and Route 161 east of Centralia.

The special meeting gets underway at seven Monday night in the board room in the basement of the Law Enforcement Center.
