The Marion County Health Department is reporting 22 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and Friday. There were no additional deaths.
The department reports 16 of the new cases are school age and none are long-term care residents. The total age range of the new cases ranges from a boy under five years to three in their 30s.
There are now 23 cases in the hospital. Two of those are long-term care residents and three are on vents.
13 of the cases are considered community spread and nine are from household or close contacts. Of the 22 new cases, one was fully vaccinated.
There are now 556 active cases. 27 were released from isolation on Thursday and Friday.
Marion County has now had 5,517 positive cases and 131 deaths since the pandemic began.
