Salem Police arrested a 34-year-old woman who said she was homeless on an outstanding traffic warrant. Elizabeth Swieca was taken to the Marion County Jail where she was being held in lieu of $2,500 bond. Police came into contact with Swieca when investigating a domestic dispute on Ohio Street Tuesday afternoon.
32-year-old Bridget McCowen of Chicago turned herself in on a Marion County traffic warrant. She was released after posting $500 bond.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a 9mm gun being stolen out of a car parked at a home in the 1300 block of Oniontown Road.
