The Salem Wildcats track team competed at the Tolono Sectionals yesterday finishing 4th as a team.
Wildcats moving on to compete at the State Meet in Charleston next Friday are Logan Rubin who won the long jump and was 2nd in the triple jump. Caleb Smith was 2nd in the shot put and the 4×400 team of Rubin, Lybarger, Phillips and Mayes were also 2nd.
Haddon Lybarger was 3rd in the 400m and Creed Phillips 3rd in the 110 high hurdles. Both just missed out of qualifying for state.
Christ Our Rock 2-miler Zach Mckowen qualified for state in the 3200 at the DuQuoin 1a Sectional in a time of 9:58.84.
