The softball regional championships were played for on Friday. Casey Westfield beat Red Hill 7-1 in Class 1a, Marissa over Woodlawn 5-3.
In 2a, Gillespie over Marquette 2-0, Trico nipped Ziegler 4-3, Johnston City 9-1 winners over Carmi, Massac County beat Hamilton County 5-0, Mt Carmel beat TTown 4-3.
In 3a, Mt Vernon dropped their title game at home to Waterloo 4-2.
