Salem grad Riley Martin has been selected as a 3rd team All American as picked by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Martin was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Midwest Regional Pitcher of the Year after leading the nation in strikeouts and strikeouts per nine innings going into the Division 2 Tournament.
Martin finished the season with a 9-3 record and a 3.55 ERA. He struck out 152 batters and walked just 32 in 78.2 innings pitched while throwing 3 complete games. He struck out 10 or more in 11 of 12 starts.
Martin leaves the program as the winningest pitcher in program history going 30-11.
