The prep girls soccer post season gets underway today with preliminary sectional action. In Class 1a, Breese Central hosts Gibault, Mater Dei at Freeburg, Anna Jonesboro goes to Mt Carmel, Riverton at Pana, Carlinville at Piasa, Pinckneyville hosts Harrisburg and Greenville welcomes Wood River.
In 2a, Charleston at Civic Memorial, Olney at Carbondale, Centralia heads to Carterville, Mt Vernon goes to Marion, Mascoutah hosts Taylorville, Mattoon welcomes Jerseyville, Jacksonville at Mt Zion, Highland is at Triad.
In 3a, Alton welcomes Springfield Southeast.
