At the Complex in softball action, in a game resumed from earlier, United Medical Response defeated Caseys 11-9. Bria Murray struck out 13 and led the offense with 2 hits including a double, 2 runs and 3 RBI. Katee Sellers had 2 hits and scored. The remaining runs were scored by Kinley Haines, Kaolin Lewis, Quinn Wolfe, Zetta Graham, Emma Jones and Morgan Holland. In the loss, Kiera Meredith struck out 15. She also doubled. Isabella Decker and Emma Lipe each had 2 hits and scored while driving in runs. Emma Jones added a hit and Emily Parrett and Chelsey Haines scored runs.
Landers Towing beat Wabash 6-4. Reagan Shuler had 16 strikeouts in the circle. She drove in a run at the plate. Kendall Zimmermann doubled, Lauryn Mascarareno singled, Abi Gore stole a base along with Madysen Arnold Kinslie Parrish and Lily Holsapple. For Wabash, Abigail Thompson worked 4 innings and struck out 10. Brylee Pennypacker struck out 3 in her inning of work. Shelby Johnson singled. Tayla Gowler stole a base.
In minors softball, Bandy’s beat DQ 13-6. Abigail Westman finished going 3-3 with 3 runs and 3 RBI. Bandy’s got 2 RBI from Kenna Benjamin, Gabriella Goostree and Jayla Tabor. Also driving in runs were Gracye Rose, Kenzie Collier, Kara Patton and Kaylee Carroll.
