The Salem Wildcats scored 7 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut an 11-3 deficit to 11-10, but that was as close as they could get in their home loss to Wesclin. The Warriors jumped out to a 5-1 lead after 4 innings, which Salem would cut that deficit to 5-3 after four, but 6 more runs in the next two innings broke the game open initially for the visitors. For Salem, Hunter Daniels drove in a run along with Isaak Williams, Eli Rose and Blane Phillips. Aden Susmena drove in a pair. Quentin Purcell took the loss going 5.2. He scattered 11 hits but only allowed 3 earned runs. Hunter Daniels worked a clean 1.1 innings in relief. Salem fell to 4-11 on the season. They are scheduled to play Centralia this afternoon.
