In Little League softball play, United Medical Response nipped Casey’s 9-8. Quinn Wolfe struck out 7 in the circle and didn’t walk anyone followed by Bria Murray who added 4 more k’s. Katee Sellers went 3-3 and scored 3 runs. Kinley Haines and Emma Jones both added a hit and a run. Kloi Spencer’s hit drove in 2. Zetta Graham, Jocelyn Crites-Burgess and Trisha McKinzie all scored a run. In the loss, Kiera Meredith struck out 12 and Emma Lipe closed the game with 4. Isabella Decker played well behind the plate. Chsley Haines had the only hit for Casey’s and scored. Meredith, Emily Parrett, Decker and Lipe all scored runs.
Landers beat Wabash 25-16. Teagan Lobek was on base 4 times. Maci Shorsen had 3 hits, Lauryn Mascareno was on base 4 times with Abi Gore adding 4 hits, Alicea Patrick was on base four times, Ashlyn Jamison doubled. Pitcher Kindall Zimmerman struck out 13 to help her team get to 5-0. In the loss, Caitlynne Bryan reached base 3 times with Brylee Pennypacker adding 2 hits.
In coach pitch, Jerald Henson Painting defeated Rural King 24-11. In the win, Brendan Dye had a triple and double, EJ Wolfe doubled and made 2 double plays in the field. Easton Henson added 2 doubles. Koleson Green, Jaden Page and Daemion Ramirez also doubled. For Rural King, Keaton Wlkins, Grayson Puritan and Braxton Harris each doubled.
