The Salem Lady Cats fell to Freeburg in a makeup game 2-0. Salem only mustered one hit, a single from Makenna Smith as starter Lizzy Ludwig was very good. The Lady Cats are right back in conference action today when they host Breese Central. The JV softball team will play at Breese.
The SC Lady Cougars destroyed visiting Webber Township 19-0 scoring 18 runs in the first inning. Halle Smith was the winning pitcher. Kayli Swift homered and drove in 3, Brooklyn Garrett doubled and added 3 RBI with Laney Webster driving in 2. SC is 9-3 and will host Edwards County tomorrow.
