Salem Travels To Carlyle After Loss At Okawville

The Salem Wildcats take their 1-7 baseball record to the road today when they play at Carlyle starting at 4:30.  Salem is coming off a 3-1 loss at Okawville on Wednesday.  Isaak Williams doubled; Quentin Purcell singled and scored with Blane Phillips adding the only RBI.  Williams finished with 2 of the Salem 4 hits.  On the mound, Trent Boles worked all 6 innings allowing 5 hits and just 1 earned run while striking out 4.  Okawville’s Ethan Kolweier allowed 1 run on 4 hits in the complete game win.  He also drove in a run along with Tyler Parsley.  Jackson Harre finished with 2 hits for Okawville.

It was announced earlier that the standout point-guard will be continuing his basketball career next year at Kaskaskia College.

Kaskaskia College returns to play today as they host Rend Lake for a double header.
