The IHSA Fishing Sectionals were held at lakes around the state with the top 3 in each Sectional advancing to the state tournament at Carlyle Lake.
At Forbes Lake, Patoka was the Sectional Champions catching a total of 9 pounds 15 ounces. Jordan Gebke, Evan Meier, Justin Copple and Brady Thompson are on the team with their Coach Charles Cummins and driver Colton Hill. Carlyle was 2nd and Teutopolis 3rd. The South Central team finished 7th and 11th while the Salem boat finished 15th. Centralia 1 and 2 were 11 and 12. Patoka’s team of Wyatt Hassell, Noah Shaw, Braden Meyer and Hunter Lane are the alternate team with their driver Wes Cummins.
Advancing from Coffeen Lake were Alton Marquette, Highland and Hillsboro with the 2nd Marquette squad the alternate. At Rend Lake, Okawville, Nashville and Christopher advanced with Benton the alternate.
