The 10u Sonics traveled to Effingham over the weekend to play in the Effingham Spring Fling. On Saturday the Sonics played 2 pool plays games resulting in a 9-5 loss to the Charleston Chill and a 1-1 tie with Tri-County Mayhem. The Sonics started bracket play on Sunday against the Effingham Flame and brought home a 12-6 win, which sent them to the semifinals for a rematch against the Charleston Chill. This time around the Sonics would come out on the winning end with a final score of 7-3. This set up a matchup with the Mattoon Cobras in the championship game where the Sonics came up short, losing 9-1.
