The Salem 9u split 2 on Sunday. Salem opened with an 11-0 win over the Olney Crush. Tanner Purintun and Ben Lux drove in 2 each for Salem. The Cats then dropped the 2nd game to Olney 19-8. Jacob Butts had 2 RBI.
The Salem 10u dropped 2 games to Teutopolis. They fell 9-8 in the opener. Salem got RBI from Kai Graham, Bentley Bryan, Owen Tennyson, Zane Applegate and Jax Schaubert. Rhett Starnes, Tripp Garden and Cameron Slater worked on the mound. In Game 2, Salem lost 9-1. Owen Tennyson singled and drove home Salem’s only run.
The Salem 11u lost a pair of games yesterday falling to Jasper County 13-5. Jaxon Ward drove in 2 runs for Salem, RBI also came from Kyler King, Silas Lux and Avery East. Salem then lost to Altamont 18-6. Colton Tockstein drove in 2 runs and Huck Mulvaney added an RBI.
The SC Storm 14u went 1-4 over the weekend. They started Saturday with a 5-3 loss to the Aftershock. Kyra Swift, Ella Watwood and Abi Shuler drove in the SC runs. They lost 16-9 to the Impact. Lauren Johnson had 3 RBI. The Aftershock then beat SC to finish Saturday 5-3. On Sunday, SC defeated the Legends 11-2 before being eliminated by Team Impact 8-5.
