The Salem Wildcats will wrap up their basketball season this week with a pair of games. Tomorrow they travel to take on Mt Carmel and on Thursday Salem will honor their seniors as they host Breese Central. The Cats got 6 made three’s from Donovan Williams to help in a 67-62 win at Carlyle. The Cats hit 10 as a team. Caden Bee and Haddon Lybarger finished with 13 each and Trent Boles added 9. Salem erased a 35-30 halftime lead with a 24-10 3rd quarter. Quinton Jones led Carlyle with 24 points and Hayden Hoffman added 17. The Cats are 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the Cahokia.
The SC Cougars improved to 10-3 with their Saturday win over Mulberry Grove 70-38. Keenin Willshire led the Cougars with 24; Aiden Dodson added 15 and Collin Miller 11. The Cougars were on fire to start as they led 57-17 at the halftime break. The Cougars will play at Patoka tomorrow.
