Covid played havoc with the Elks Hoop Shoot competition as well as everything else this year. Selmaville’s Bentley Bryan was supposed to be shooting at the Regional Championship in Iowa after making his way through earlier rounds of competition. With the help of Scott Tolliver and Selmaville School, Bentley and 2 other girls who won their age division at state did a virtual recording of their shots. The Elks association will compare their score against the state champs from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Best score will advance to Nationals in Chicago. Bentley made 9-of-10 in the first round and 13-of-15 in the 2nd round. He had to shoot an extra 25 in case of a tie and made 22 of those.
