Peggy Ann Gerdes passed peacefully at the age of 87 years old. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2021. Peggy was raised and lived in New Mexico and relocated to Jefferson County Illinois in 2016. Peggy loved spending time with her family and friends. As a devout Christian, she was a member of the Stanley Union Church, she attended and enjoyed church services and activities. Her table decorations were beautifully arranged for church gatherings and she loved cooking. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Carl (Roxanne) Gerdes, Roger (Brenda) Minor, Don (Brenda Kay) Gerdes, Deanna (Eric) Velhagen; grandchildren, Jamin, Lizabeth, Justin, Joanna, Brandon, Ryan, Steve, Scott, Colter, Courtney, and Jaren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Peggy was born in Carrizozo, New Mexico February 7,1933 to Roger V. Holloway and Ruth V, (Pierce) Holloway. She was preceded by her husband of 55 years Dan Gerdes, her parents and an infant brother Vernon Holloway.
