2021 01/07 – Yvonne ‘Bonnie’ Richeson

Yvonne “Bonnie” Richeson, age 80, of Odin, formerly of Sandoval passed away peacefully Friday, January 1, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.

After receiving an Associates’s Degree from Centralia Junior College, Bonnie held several clerical jobs in St. Louis and Centralia before joining the staff of Marion County Housing Authority in 1974 until her retirement in 2002. In the last 20 years of her employment, she served as Assistant to the Executive Director. She served as Church Secretary for St. Lawrence Catholic Church from 2010-2014.

Bonnie was a 30-year member of the General Federation of Woman’s Club/Sandoval Woman’s Club, having been President and Parliamentarian. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality of St. Lawrence and several pinochle clubs. She was an avid fan of reading, working a variety of puzzles, and playing cards.

Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval is privileged to be assisting the family of Bonnie Richeson with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at a future date. Memorials may be made in Bonnie’s honor to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Marion County Home Health, or the Donor’s Choice. She was born on October 17, 1940, in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Wes and Margaret (Thomas) Dickens. The family moved to Sandoval in 1950 where she attended St. Lawrence Catholic School and Sandoval Community High School.

Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Sepulvado and husband Jerry of Zwolle, Louisiana; sons, Joseph Reed Reagan and wife Jayme of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and James Reagan of Odin; grandchildren, Christina Baker and husband Sabien, and Cody Carter both of Spring Texas, Michael Mason of Salem, Samanthia Mason Ray of Centralia, Cari Dawn Smith, and David Mack Smith both of Odessa, Texas, Aaron Reagen, and Kaitlyn Reagan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Morgan Reagan of Centralia; great-grandchildren, Chance and Connor Baker of Spring, Texas, Michael and Tiger Ray of Centralia, August Smith of Odessa, Texas; loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great friends. She is also survived by stepchildren, Brad and Kathy Richeson of Vernon, Randy and Sherry Richeson of Patoka; grandchildren, Shawn Richeson and wife Tiffanie and children Nadea and Noah, and Joni Richeson Flanigan and fiance Jason Huels; and great-grandchildren, Remington Reagan of Centralia, Marcus Flanigan, Amanda Van Dyke of Bartonville, Illinois; great-great-grandchild, Easton Flanigan of Carlyle; and loving extended family, Theresa and John Hanna of Homassassa, Florida.

She married Donald Reagan, the father of her children, in 1962. They divorced. In 1985 she married Wig Richeson at their home in Sandoval.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Wig Richeson; her daughter Michelle Jones; an infant son, Michael; great-grandson, Weston Mack Smith; great-grandchild, Marissa Flanigan; brother Joseph Dickens and wife Thelma; and sister, Margaret “Peggy” Zmashenski and husband Daniel; step-son, Kerry Richeson and wife Peggy.
