Margaret Dorr, 86, of Auburn, Illinois passed away at Eastland Independent and Assisted Living community in Auburn.
She was born April 3, 1934, in Farina, daughter of Walter and Laura (Van Cleve) Leonard.
She was a true lady that enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina. She enjoyed sewing.
She married James P. Dorr and he survives in Auburn, along with their sons, Kevin Dorr of Marquette, Michigan, Jeff Dorr and wife Marsha of Modesto, IL, and 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her siblings Charles (Ann) Leonard of Greenville, IL, Anita Sidener of St. Elmo, IL, sister-in-law of Jean Leonard of Phoenix, AZ, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother Caryl Leonard, and brother-in-law Winton Sidener.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday at Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina, with burial to follow in the Farina Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Gesell will officiate. The family invites you to gather with them at the church from 12:30 until the service hour at the church. It is imperative those attending wear a mask and respect social distancing as suggested by the CDC.
