Today is the semifinals in all 3 classes of baseball and softball in the SIJHSAA. The Class L games will all be held in Centralia with the M and S games hosted by Pinckneyville High School at the Perry County Fairgrounds.
The undefeated Franklin Park Bobcats take their 14-0 record into this morning’s 9:30 contest with 12-2 Marion. You can listen to the game on AM 1350, 92.1 FM or WJBDradio.com. The winner will play Tuesday afternoon at 1pm championship against the winner of Highland and Benton. The loser will be back at it at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the 3rd place game. Salem knocked off Marion 9-1 in 8 innings in their regular season finale.
In Class M baseball, Hardin County takes on Christopher and Albion versus St Boniface, Edwardsville.
In Class S, Our Lady of Mt Carmel plays Cisne followed by Waltonville and St Joseph Catholic.
In Class L softball it is Carlyle vying for a spot in the state finals this morning with a 9:30 game against Murphysboro. The other semifinal will see Carmi take on Carterville.
In Class M softball, coach Tyson Moore’s wife Tiereny will take her Nashville team to their semifinal against NCOE today at 1pm followed by Crab Orchard and Pinckneyville.
In Class S, Willow Grove/St Mary Centralia will play their semifinal game at 11am against New Hope. The first game of the day will be Dongola and Coulterville.
