2021 05/04 – William Charles ‘Bill’ Williams

William Charles “Bill” Williams, 64, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 12:25 pm April 29, 2021, at Nature Trail Health Care in Mount Vernon.

Bill worked as a construction laborer for General Tire.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.  He is loved dearly by his family and friends and will be missed.

A Visitation will be held Monday, May 3, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 1:00 pm with Mr. Marty Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, IL. Memorials may be made in William’s honor to SSM Hospice Health at Home.

He was born October 23, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Robert Abel and Mary Williams.

Bill is survived by his two children, Laura Farquhar and husband, Keith of Henderson, Texas and Billy Williams and wife, Florencia of Henderson, Texas; five grandchildren, Darian Farquhar, Tara Cangialosi, Jaxon Farquhar, Jimmie Harper, and Jordan Williams; several nieces and nephews including, Jeffery Blevins; and significant other, Robin McGill.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Logue and LouAnn Stegall, and two brothers, Robert Williams and Terry Williams.
