The Salem Township Hospital Foundation has made a $75,000 contribution to the hospital to allow for renovation of the surgical waiting room area.
Hospital CEO Jim Timpe accepted the check.
“We’re going to be using this to redo our surgical waiting room, as well as buying some minor surgery equipment that we didn’t include in our ongoing projects. So this way the whole project will be capped off with a beautiful new waiting room and some equipment that our patients need. So it’s a real need for the hospital, and we are so excited that the foundation was able to help us out.”

Foundation Board Chair Myron Loyd explains how the money was raised.
“The money was of course raised by the golf tournament which is held each year in June it is our largest opportunity to make money we are very appreciative not only to the board, sharia and her comity, but also the community and the surrounding areas are so good for participating in that and every dollar is going towards capitol improvements for the hospital.”
The foundation members were told the renovation and expansion project for the operating room and emergency room is on budget and on time to be completed next August.
