Salem Fire Protection District officials report heavy damage to a vehicle that caught fire in the parking lot of Russell’s Garage at North Jefferson and East McMackin Street late Friday afternoon.
The vehicle is owned by Josh Geary of Odin.
Salem Assistant Fire Chief Bill Fulton says the cause of the fire that was centered in the engine compartment was not determined.
The fire call came in at 4:30. The vehicle was not near any other vehicle or building.
