A large pull-behind camper trailer was destroyed by fire in Wamac early Sunday morning.

Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera says the vehicle was parked on a rental lot on Jana Drive just south of 17th Street in Wamac.   The owner, Tyler Atchison, was able to get out without injury and was able to save his dog and her puppies as well before firemen arrived.

Boshera reports the 26 to 27-foot-long camper was fully involved in fire upon their arrival and Atchison lost all of his possession.   The cause of the fire has not been determined.

The fire call came in at 12:16 Sunday morning.   District firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
