Salem Police have arrested a 23-year-old Salem man for alleged criminal damage to property and attempted burglary. Police report Jesse Lilly of West Pine had tried to gain entry to the front door of a home in the 100 block of West Allmon Street Sunday night. When that failed, Lilly allegedly began throwing items at the back door to try and gain entry.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 40-year-old Mt. Vernon man for aggravated fleeing and eluding after he allegedly did not originally stop for a deputy on the Route 161 Extension. James Holenka of South 20th Street was later released on a notice to appear in court.
Salem Police arrested 60-year-old Faith Moon of North Broadway in Salem on an outstanding Effingham County warrant for failure to appear on a possession of controlled substance charge. She remained in the Marion County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
34-year-old Estrella Ramos of East Kerr in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Fayette County traffic warrant and taken to the Marion County Jail.
34-year-old Crystal Smith of County Farm Road in Salem turned herself in on an outstanding Effingham County felony warrant. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
