Centralia Police say a 61-year-old Centralia man escaped with apparent minor injuries after his pickup truck was struck by a large tree as he was driving southbound down the 1600 block of Moonglow Road.
Guy Donahoo was heading to work just after six Friday morning during the height of the severe weather when the tree fell as he was traveling underneath it. Donahoo was able to get out of the truck on his own before emergency help arrived. He was transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of apparent minor injuries.
Donahoo’s 2018 pickup truck was crushed.
Police say the tree has now been cleared and the road reopened.
