A 22-year-old Sandoval man was arrested on charges by both Sandoval and Centralia following separate incidents involving a weapon.

Sandoval Police initially arrested Branden Bierman of South Oak Monday night for aggravated assault after he allegedly put a knife to the throat of a 14-year-old juvenile female.   The girl was not hurt.

Centralia Police then arrested Bierman for alleged aggravated battery, unlawful use of weapons, and criminal damage to property for a March 19th incident where he allegedly attacked a man with an ax handle and later lunged at him with a small knife.    Police report the incident occurred at a home on Holly Street where his former girlfriend was located.  The victim allegedly sustained bruises and welts to his left side from the ax handle which was later grabbed a second time to shatter a car window.   The alleged victim did not require hospital treatment.

Bierman was last reported to be held in the Marion County Jail.
