Centralia Police have arrested a ten-year-old boy for aggravated battery to a teacher.
Police report the teacher was struck by the boy in the in-school detention room at Centralia Junior High.
The Assistant Principal and School Resource Officer both responded to assist the teacher who did not seek medical treatment.
Police say the ten-year-old was taken to the Centralia Police Station, but could not be held in juvenile detention due to his young age. He was later released to his parents pending further court action.
Centralia Police say they hope the juvenile court system can help obtain help for the student’s severe behavioral issues.
