The post season began last night in Class 1a baseball. Beecher City was a 15-0 winner over Ramsey, Cisne over Dieterich 10-8, Elverado eliminated Woodlawn 6-5, Dupo over Lebanon 7-3, Mulberry Grove 11-1 winners over Okawville, Neoga shutout Martinsville 13-0, Valmeyer 11-9 over Metro East Lutheran, Wayne City routed NCOE 15-2.
The 2a regionals opened up as well. Althoff won at home 19-11 over Wood River, Mater Dei beat Hillsboro 9-2, Carlinville 11-1 over Litchfield, Fairfield 12-4 winners over Eldorado, Vandalia beat Greenville 10-3, Robinson over Lawrenceville 5-4, Massac County 6-2 over Mt Carmel, Pana beat Arthur 9-0, West Frankfort shutout Johnston City 7-0 and Zeigler over Murphysboro 3-1.
