The Salem 12u fell in their opening game on Sunday in Toledo to Newton 12-0. Jaxon Ward, Kyler King and Trenton Shelton had the 3 Salem hits.
On Saturday, Salem fell to Newton 8-7 and beat the Rebels 10-5. In the Newton loss, Jaxon Ward and Nicholi Mahrenka drove in 2 runs each with RBI also from Kyler King and Caleb Squibb.
In the win over the Rebels, King homered and drove in 2 with RBI also from Damon Jennings, Mahrenka and Shelton.
