Little League Complex Recap From Busy Thursday Night

In softball minors at the Little League Complex, T&K Title beat Marion County Savings Bank 12-2.  Caitlynne Bryan, Katee Sellers, Kenley Cripps and Maci Susmena all had singles, Bella Winchester doubled and Cripps added an RBI.  Sellers, Abigail Thompson, Cripps, Bryan, Winchester, Aubrey Parker, Lily Holsapple, Susmena and Ashlynn Jamison each scored runs.  Thompson was the winning pitcher striking out 8.  In the loss for MCSB, Kaolin Lewis pitched and struck out 5.  Talya Gowler added 4 k’s in relief.  Shelby Johnson and Kloi Spencer singled and Emma Jones and Johnson added runs.

In softball majors, Landers beat Bandy’s 12-4.  Maxlyn Maciejowski had 2 hits and 2 runs to go with her RBI, Samara Simmons had 2 hits and 2 runs with 2 RBI, Alecia Patrick had 2 hits that drove in 2.  Rozlyn Bratcher had a hit, run and RBI while Kinslie Parrish was the winning pitcher as she struck out 5.

In baseball majors, Buds Minor League knocked off IGA 6-2 in extra innings.  Aidan Winterhalter, Drew Consolino, Benny Bryan each had 2 hits in the win.  Jax Schaubert, Nicholi Marhanka, Jared Crompton and Tripp Garden added hits.  Schaubert started the game going 3 innings allowing 4 hits and striking out 6.  Bryan finished the final 4 innings allowing no hits and struck out 11.

Americana beat Lions 4-2.  Lions tied the game at 2 in the bottom of the first inning on a home run from Walker Crank on the first pitch of his at bat.  Drake Rector went 4 innings for Americana allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 7 strikeouts.  For the Lions Scout Puricelli was 1 for 3 with a run scored. Walker Crank had 2 RBI’s on his first Home Run of the season. Rhett Starnes also added a hit. Taking the tough luck loss was Landon White who struck out 11 while walking 0 batters in 5 innings with Walker Sherwin coming in relief striking out the side in the 6th.
