A 34-year-old Salem man was injured in a single-vehicle crash late Monday afternoon on Route 37 South near the CJ Heck Road intersection on the south side of Salem.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Tyler Cantrell of William Street was traveling northbound pulling a small single axle trailer when it started swerving back and forth for an unknown reason causing Cantrell to lose control. The open-top Jeep then crossed the southbound lane, traveled off the road, and started to roll over down an embankment before coming to rest on the passenger side.
Reports indicate Cantrell was partially ejected through the open top. He was stabilized by Salem Fire Protection District Firemen who then assisted in getting Cantrell in a United Medical Response ambulance to be taken to Salem Township Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred at 4:38 Monday afternoon.
