Salem Opens Busy Final Regular Season Week With Home Game v. Wood River….SC Falls To Neoga…CORLHS Shuts Out Woodlawn

The Salem Wildcats will return to action for a busy final regular season week when they host Wood River today in a Cahokia Conference game.  Salem will then host Odin/Patoka /Sandoval tomorrow, before welcoming Roxana to close out the conference on Thursday and then finish the regular season on the road at Flora.  Salem will then open up the regional’s a week from Wednesday at 6pm in the Vandalia Regional against Teutopolis in a game you can hear on Q92.

South Central traveled to Neoga and fell to the Indians 9-4.  Aidan Dodson homered in the loss driving in 3 runs.  Anthony Buonaura added a hit, run and RBI.  Ethan Watwood took the loss allowing 4 earned runs and 6 hits in 2 innings.

In other action yesterday, Christ Our Rock shutout Woodlawn 10-0 getting out front early with 4 runs in the opening inning and 5 more in the 4th.  Brayden Such drove in 3 and scored 2 times, Colton Oelze added a 3-for-3 day with 2 RBI and Parker Boehne also drove in 2 runs.  Jayden Bazile added 2 hits, an RBI and 2 runs.  He was also the winning pitcher going all 5 innings allowing 1 hit and struck out 5.
