2022 05/11 – Georgia Leah England

Georgia Leah England, 70, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:51 pm May 6, 2022 at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. Georgia worked as a registered nurse for forty-two years.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Tim Reynolds officiating. In addition to her beloved husband of fifty-five years, Georgia is survived by her sons, William England of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Jeffrey England of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Carolyn Phillips and husband, Shane of Nashville, Illinois; grandchildren, Justin England, Allison Morrison, Shayna Blumhorst and husband, Lucas, Jordan Phillips and wife, Samantha, Gunner England; great-grandchildren, Jayleigh, Raylan, Tydus, Cameron, Dawson, Arlo, Blake; brother, George S. Ohlhausen and wife, Dot of Medford, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born August 16, 1951 in Riverside, California to the late George and Carolyn (Goforth) Ohlhausen. Georgia married Gary England on September 3, 1966 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Nieuland and half brothers, Danny Ohlhausen and Lyn Potts.
