Rainfall totals show just under two inches of rain across much of South Central Illinois from the series of storms and rainy days during the past workweek.

The Salem Water Plant recorded 34-hundredths of an inch of rain for the 24-hour period ending at seven Saturday morning.  That brings the rain total for the past five days to 1.94 inches of rain.

The Centralia Water Plant recorded 19-hundredths of an inch of rain for the 24-hour period ending at seven Saturday morning.  That brings the total for the past five days to 1.77 inches.

One gate of Raccoon Lake was open six inches on Saturday morning to get rid of excess water.   The lake as of seven Saturday morning was just two inches below the spillway.

Meanwhile, after a mild and sunny weekend, potential record high temperatures around 90 degrees are forecast Tuesday through Friday of next week.
