The Salem 12u also played in tournament action over the weekend. Salem dropped their Sunday opener 16-6 to Effingham. Salem got 2 RBI from Logan Butts and Damon Jennings. Drake Rector and Landon White also drove in runs.Jaxon Ward singled, Silas Lux went 2-2 with 2 runs scored and Trenton Shelton added a hit.
Salem split their Saturday games beating the 618 Express 13-1. Logan Butts doubled and tripled while going 3-3 with 2 RBI. Kyler King homered and drove in 2 with 2 RBI also from Scout Puricelli. Also driving in runs was Jaxon Ward who went 3-3 with a pair of doubles, Rector who was 2-2, Silas Lux, Caleb Squibb and Jennings. Landon White had a hit and a run along with Nicholi Mahrenka.
Salem then lost to the SC Storm Chasers 7-3. In the loss, Puricelli and Ward droive in runs with hits also from Lux, Butts, Trenton Shelton and Jennings.
