Michael Raymond Scott Sr., 65, of Dix, Illinois, passed away on April 29, 2022, at 7:00 PM in his home.
He was born September 17, 1956, in Lasalle Peru, Illinois to William Daniel and Lenda (Malin) Scott.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael Scott II and wife, Brya of Woodlawn; two daughters, Randi Gordzelik and husband, Eric of Mount Vernon, and Alicia Meadows and husband, Curtis of Woodlawn; grandchildren, Wyatt, Shyloh, Lexi, Kyla, and Daniel; three brothers, Randy Scott, and Jeff Scott, John Scott and wife, Amy; sister, Raena Scott; and nieces, Hillary and Hallie.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lenda Scott.
He enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his family. He owned and operated his own construction business called “Done Right Construction” and was successful for many years. He loved watching Westerns, John Wayne, and listening to old country music on his record player. He loved all animals, but especially his dogs, Rebel and Shotgun. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Michael’s honor to the American Heart Association.
