Illinois State Police say a 36-year-old man from Olney was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Ingraham Lane in Clay County Wednesday afternoon.
Preliminary investigation indicates a pickup truck driven by the Olney man was traveling eastbound on Ingraham Lane, just east of Sylvite Drive, when for unknown reasons he crossed the centerline and struck a cargo van driven by 34-year-old Gregory Stewart of Benton head-on.
The Olney man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Clay County Coroner. Stewart was transported via Air Evac to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The crash occurred at 1:01 Wednesday afternoon.
