A 41-year-old Patoka man was hit in the head with a crowbar after telling two men to stop taking a working air conditioner from a home in the 200 block of East Bond Street in Patoka Sunday night.
Leland Waln was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of a head injury.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say the two men had reportedly been given permission to remove two old air conditioning units on the property but were stopped when cutting wires to take the new unit.
The Sheriff’s Department is looking for suspects in the case. The incident was reported just after nine Sunday night.
