The Salem Wildcats knocked off Lawrenceville on Saturday in prep baseball 10-0 getting a stellar game on the mound from Nick Gregg. He went all 5 innings allowing just 1 hit and struck out 8. At the plate, Isaak Williams drove in 3 runs with 2 RBI each from Griffin Day, Gavin Zimmermann and Carter Rose. Eli Rose also drove in a run.
The Salem JV earned an 11-9 win over Centralia on Saturday. For the Cats, Noah Nix and Ayden Rose drove in 3 runs each, Jalen Inlow drove in 2 with RBI from Cooper Lobek and Colton Shelton. Rose got the win going 4.1 striking out 5and scattering 3 hits.
The SC Cougars return to baseball action today when they play at Teutopolis.
