Wildcats Fall At Mater Dei, JV Earns Shutout Win

The Salem Wildcats fell at Mater Dei 7-0 as the Cats could only muster 5 hits and were hampered with 3 errors.  Drew Davis earned the start for Salem going 4.1 allowing 7 hits and 6 runs, 5 earned, with 1 strikeout.  Tyler Tanner came in and worked the final 1.2.  At the plate, Isaak Williams doubled, Charlie Hunter went 2-3, Blane Phillips and Gavin Zimmermann added hits.

The Salem JV got a complete game shutout from Noah Nix in their 3-0 win at Mater Dei.  Jalen Inlow and Colton Shelton doubled in the win with Lobek driving in a run, Jalen Inlow added an RBI along with Deytin Parker.  Aden Bass had a hit along with Ryan Detering and Braden Rector.  Nix on the mound allowing just 5 hits and struckout 12 with just 2 walks.

Salem returns to action today as they host Lawrenceville this morning.  The JV will host Centralia at the Little League Complex.

Nashville stuns Breese Central scoring 2 times in the bottom of the 7th to knock off the Cougars 8-7.  Dalton Boruff hit 2 homers in the loss as #1 ranked Central falls to 20-2.
