The Oil Belt Conference meet was held at SCHS Track yesterday. The Selmaville Rockets are the conference boys champ with 137.5 points followed by Central City with 118.5 and Raccoon 3rd with 111, 4 was Field 40, Iuka was 5 with 37 and Willow Grove 6th with 24 points.
In the boys competition Raccoon’s Fletcher won the high jump with Austin Woolridge of Selmaville 2nd. Carruthers of Raccoon won the long jump with teammate Michael Organ 2nd and Selmaville’s Carter Lowe was 5th. Brayden Wood of Central City won the shot in a meet record 46-10.5 with CJ Allison of Raccoon 2nd. In the boys Discus Raccoon’s Elwood won the event.
Huggins of Raccoon won the 8th grade 100 with Tristan Cody of Central City 2nd, in the 7th grade 100 Carruthers and Ettress of Raccoon went 1-2 with Riley Tate of Selmaville 3rd. Cruthers won the boys 200 with Central City‘s Cody 2nd. Mayer won the 400 from Raccoon with Jacob Ellis 2nd. Kyler Sapp of Selmaville won the 800m. Caiden Lamb of Raccoon won the 1600 with Kyson Rich of Field 2nd nad Gavin Harper and Rafe James of Selmaville 3-4. Alijah Carroll won the 100m hurdles with Aaden Rostance 5th. Raccoon won the 4×200 7th grade relay along with the 4×400 with Central City winning the 4×200.
Raccoon won the girls event with 172.5 followed by Central City 2nd with 114, Selmaville 3rd with 98 then Field 4 at 45.5, Iuka was 5th with 27 and 6th went to Willow Grove with 10.
Raccoon’s Brady set a meet record in the shot at 32-2 with teammate Parrett 2nd and Selmaville’s Amelia Snyder 3rd. Snyder was also 2ndin the discus to Central City’s Emaleigh Davis. Field’s Audrey Wilford won the 400 Selmaville’s Maci Thorsen and Shelby Johnson were 1-2 in the 800m, Aurbra Amason won the 1600 from Central City with Karmen Murray of Selmaville 3rd and Alana Howe 7th. The Lady Rockets Carly Veach won the 100m hurdles.
