Virginia “Ginny” F. Skelton, 89, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on April 14, 2022, at Lavender Ridge Dignified Memory Care in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Ginny worked at Kmart for many years. She volunteered at Angels on Assignment and was a member of Meadowbrook Christian Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Reverend Michael Sheets officiating. Interment will follow. Ginny is survived by her son, Sean Hall and wife, Gayla of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Cheryl Nichols and husband, Jeff of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Kacie Huson and husband, John, Jamie Nichols, Charles Robert Hall and wife, CaeLee, Joey Hall, and Chelsea Nichols; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Hall.
She was born February 12, 1933, in Tamaroa, Illinois to the late Albert and Lula (Dolan) Kuhl. Ginny married Charles Robert “Bob” Hall and he preceded her in death. She later married John E. Skelton and he preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her four brothers and one sister.
